WHY RENT WITH STRAIT MUSIC COMPANY?

When considering where to rent your child’s orchestral instrument, we know you have many options. Strait Music is committed to providing your child with the flexibility and resources to help them succeed as a musician.

	We work directly with local band directors to make sure instruments are school approved; we also have all the accessories your director requires.
	Our no-interest plan is flexible, affordable, and works for you.

SHOULD I RENT OR BUY?

While Strait Music does sell instruments for all playing levels, renting is in our opinion the best plan for any beginning student. Here are some reasons to consider:

• Our orchestra rental program allows you to move up in instrument sizes and maintain your equity.
• Our month-to-month rental program offers peace of mind, and flexibility ideal for beginner students
• The monthly maintenance fee lets you take advantage of our repair maintenance coverage, which covers nearly all maintenance and repairs for free. It also insures you against forced theft and natural disaster.
• For many families, low monthly payments are easier on the monthly budget than expensive upfront purchasing.

WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF THE CONTRACT?

There is no specified contract length. Our rental plan is flexible with multiple purchase options.

• Rentals are always month-to-month. You may return your rental at any time with no penalty to you, or you may rent it until you pay the instrument in full.
• You may exercise your purchase option at any time, up to 24 month of your payments go toward the purchase of your rental instrument or an upgrade instrument.
• While renting, you can pay off the remainder balance of your instrument at any time.
• Up to twenty-four months of your base rental payment may be applied to the purchase of a step-up instrument of the same type.

DO I NEED A NEW OR USED INSTRUMENT?

• If your student will be motivated by playing a new instrument we have many to show you, including step-ups at all levels. Most beginning players, however, will be best suited with our well maintained rental instruments and flexible rental plan.
• All of Strait Music’s used instruments are guaranteed to be quality instruments ready to perform. They have been serviced in Strait Music’s fully-trained, state-of-the-art luthier shop.
• Some of our used instruments may have small cosmetic scratches, but are assured to be in perfect playing condition, offering you the best performance value.

WHAT IF IT’S BROKEN, DESTROYED OR STOLEN?

All Strait Music instrument rentals include our maintenance coverage.

• When you have Strait Music’s maintenance coverage and are current on your payments, your instrument will be maintained annually for FOR FREE! (You must be enrolled in autopay or a $10 maintenance copay will apply - Our policy does not cover neglect, abuse or loss.)
• Our maintenance coverage also covers against forced theft and fire/natural disaster with a valid police or fire report.
• Your monthly payment covers one bow re-hair and one new set of strings every year.
