Taylor 300-Series 314ce Studio Shaded Edge Burst Grand Auditorium - Torrefied Spruce Top with Sapele Back and Sides
Grand Auditorium Spruce Sapele
314ce Studio
For players seeking the rich, sophisticated acoustic tone and bold projection that comes with an all-solid-wood guitar, there may be no better value than the Taylor 314ce Studio. Now the lowest-priced gateway to the solid-wood experience in the Taylor line, this Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric combines back and sides of sapele with a torrefied spruce top, adding up to a punchy midrange response with a clear, woody character and an added dash of warmth and sweetness from our special roasting recipe. Inside, V-Class bracing dials up more volume, longer sustain and improved harmony all the way up the neck. This model also features comfort-enhancing chamfered body edges and a slightly narrower fretboard of 1-11/16 inches, offering a hand-friendly feel that makes fretting a breeze regardless of your skill level. Finished off with a full-body gloss, nickel hardware and a faux tortoiseshell pickguard, the 314ce Studio includes ES2 electronics for faithful plugged-in tone and a structured gig bag.

- Solid-wood tone at a more accessible price
- Solid sapele back and sides for rich midrange voice
- Torrefied spruce top adds aged-in warmth and depth
- Slim, easy-playing Taylor neck for relaxed fretting
- Includes ES2 electronics and a structured gig bag
Highlights
Grand Auditorium
Taylor’s signature shape embodies the ultimate all-purpose acoustic.
Torrefied Spruce
Treated by a special roasting process, torrefied spruce tops deliver all the clarity, balance and projection you’d expect from a traditional spruce top with an extra dash of warmth and played-in depth.
Sapele
One of the best all-around tonewoods there is, sapele will deliver for any playing style.
Expression System 2
The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.
Venetian Cutaway
The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the body.
V-Class Bracing
Patented V-Class bracing is a revolutionary new pattern — a new sonic engine — that marks a major shift away from traditional steel-string bracing patterns.
