The NU1XA introduces our newly developed Articulation Sensor System. Using non-contact electromagnetic sensors and our proprietary algorithm, this unique system captures every intricate detail of your playing. With dual sensors on each key - one for the hammer and another for the key's release - even the gentlest of expressions are perfectly represented.

ROOM-FILLING RESONANCE
The moment the hammer strikes the strings, a grand piano comes alive, filling the room with gorgeous sound. The NU1XA is designed to replicate this experience. Its innovative sound features upward-facing woofers, as well as tweeters with a newly designed horn structure. TWO WORLD-RENOWNED GRAND PIANOS IN ONE ELEGANT INSTRUMENT
The NU1XA harnesses the sounds of two globally acclaimed grand pianos: the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial. The CFX is the pinnacle of Yamaha grand pianos, possessing a wide range of dynamic tones from sparkling highs to a profoundly deep bass, while the Bösendorfer's flagship Imperial model is known for its delicate tonal color and its warm Vienna sound.

AUTHENTIC FORTEPIANO VOICES
The NU1XA features four additional piano voices that authentically reproduce the sound of the “fortepiano” from the 1700s and 1800s, allowing you to experience the characteristic sounds of the pianos from the eras of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin.

ELEGANTLY STYLED CONTROL PANEL
The NU1XA has a beautiful yet unassuming touch-sensitive control panel that allows you to easily operate various basic functions, including Voice selection, reverb and metronome control. When not in operation, the display panel and virtually disappears, making the overall appearance even more like an acoustic piano.

Easy Voice selection and Easy settings
In addition to selecting piano voices, you can use Smart Pianist to adjust parameters such as the reverberation due to degree to which the grand piano lid is open, reverberation from echoes in performance venues, and other factors that affect the sound of the piano. You can use the layer function to overlay voices, or the split function to play different voices with the left and right hands, playing multiple voices simultaneously to create performances with a pleasingly full sound. A range of functions such as Transpose, Tuning, Pedal and acoustic settings can be configured easily and intuitively from the touch screen.
