COVID-19 Updates & FAQ For Strait Music

We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone and we're working hard to adapt to this new reality. We are taking every precaution to protect our customers and staff.  Below are details about some of our processes and procedures.

We still want to be a positive breath of fresh air to anyone that does business with us.... after all, we are lucky to be providing you one of the greatest, most powerful things on Earth... MUSIC!

In-Store 

  • All employees and customers are required to wear face coverings/masks while inside the store.
  • Customers must sanitize hands upon entry at the front counter. We also have numerous hand sanitization stations around the store.
  • Social distancing is to be practiced by all customers and employees to every extent possible.
  • Plexiglass shields are present at all checkout counters and other areas on the sales floor.
  • We ask that customers ask for assistance before touching any instruments. Customers will be asked to sanitize hands before and after playing instruments.

  • Any wind instruments tried by customers will enter the appropriate quarantine period off the sales floor. We highly encourage only testing the instruments in which you are genuinely interested in purchasing.
  • High touch areas are disinfected throughout the day.
  • All employees undergo a daily health questionnaire and have temperatures taken immediately upon entering the building while also practicing the high standards of hand and respiratory hygiene.

Shop Online

  • Renting and buying instruments and accessories is available directly on our website. You can choose to pick up at either store location with contactless curbside or have your items shipped to you.
  • All orders within the greater Austin area over $50 will have shipping charges credited back to their card (Cannot be combined with any other offer).

Contactless Curbside

  • We have reserved parking spots for contactless curbside at both retail stores.
    • Pull into the clearly marked curbside parking spots at either store and follow the instructions on the signage. 
  • If utilizing curbside, please remain in your vehicle. We prefer payments be handled over the phone and we can simply verify ID at your vehicle.
  • When utilizing curbside, associates will be wearing face coverings and gloves. We will deliver merchandise, rentals or repairs to a back seat or rear entry/trunk of your vehicle.
  • Curbside service is also available for rentals and repair services.

Private Consultation Appointments

  • Click here to setup a private consultation with a dedicated sales person.
  • You can also set up a consultation prior to opening hours by selecting the AM time slot and specifically requesting to be outside opening hours.
  • Employees will  be wearing face coverings and practice social distancing. We ask that all customers follow our in-store protocols above when shopping.

Repairs

  • All customer repairs undergo a quarantine period before being handled by technicians. Please allow additional time for service.
  • Curbside service is available for drop off and pickup of repairs.
